PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CompanionLink® Software announces two-way synchronization and backup of contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Microsoft® Outlook® and the LG® G2x™, also known as the LG Optimus 2X™ in other markets. CompanionLink offers four ways to sync Outlook with the G2x – wired USB sync, local Wi-Fi sync, wireless sync via Google®, and a secure hosted wireless sync service. In addition to Outlook, CompanionLink supports sync with Sage ACT!, IBM® Lotus Notes, Palm® Desktop, Novell® GroupWise, Salesforce® CRM, and Highrise®. CompanionLink also synchronizes with Microsoft Outlook add-ins like Franklin Covey® PlanPlus™ for Microsoft Outlook, Getting Things Done®, Take Back Your Life, Respond™, Avidian Prophet®, and Outlook Business Contact Manager.
CompanionLink’s wired USB sync with LG G2x works together with DejaOffice® – an Android™ app that runs on the G2x – to sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with a PC.
Local Wi-Fi sync automatically syncs data between PC and DejaOffice on the LG G2x using your Wi-Fi network. This hands-free sync is automatically triggered whenever your device is near your PC.
Sync via Google transfers PC data to any Google account, which then wirelessly syncs with the LG G2x.
Sync via CompanionLink Secure Hosted wireless sync is a monthly service that uses AES-256 encryption to sync your data over-the-air between your PC and DejaOffice on the LG G2x. For maximum security, this service does not store your data in the cloud. Two-way sync is supported in all of the above options, so changes made on the phone are updated on the PC as well.
